What can I expect at therapy?

✔️ Map out the emotional patterns keeping you stuck
✔️ Build self-trust and a Relational Toolkit
✔️ Shift reactive behaviors into presence
✔️ Align your personal life with your true values

First Session: Intake

Our first meeting is atypical of a standard session, but it’s a vital sequence to achieving lasting change. In this initial period, we review paperwork, begin to know one another, and gather a bird’s eye view of your current wellbeing. This section of therapy also provides us with the goals you want to set.

I utilize SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time oriented) which helps create a roadmap for the rest of treatment. The initial intake also lets us know if we will be a good fit. If for some reason you should ever want a referral to a different clinician I’m more than happy to refer out.

The standard session normally operates on a weekly basis. Like the initial intake, regular meetings start at the top of the hour (i.e. 3:00pm) and end forty-five to fifty minutes later (3:45-3:50pm).

There is a fixed 24 hour cancellation policy for each scheduled session.

“How long does treatment last?”

Each person has different needs. Some clients only come to therapy for a few sessions, and others for many sessions as new goals are added. However, it is common to see clients for 10-15 sessions before meeting their primary therapeutic goals.

“Do you see clients virtually?”

Yes. I offer treatment for both online and in-office visits.

“Do you prescribe medication?”

No. But I’d be happy to connect you with a medication provider.

“Do you work with people outside your specialties?”

Yes. While most of my practice is with high-achieving types, outside of more severe mental health diagnoses, I work with most populations and diagnoses.

Please note: I am not accepting insurance at this time.
